The SPD decoders can be used licence free with SSM 2.10 Virtual Matrix. Virtual Matrix is the software controller for the SSM monitor wall.
To use the decoder in SSM VM it needs to be set to SSM mode:
On the SPD-151:
On the SPD-152:
If using the SPD-151 you do not need to install the VM Decoder element of the Virtual Matrix software. Ensure the version of the Virtual Matrix matches the SSM Server version.
Once the software is installed, log onto the VM Manager with the 'admin' credentials
Once logged in this is the initial set up screen
Add a VM Gateway:
Click Save and the VM Gateway will be shown as registered
A wall now needs to be add to the VM Gateway
The monitor wall is now associated with the VM Gateway
A decoder now needs to be added, this can be the software VM Decoder or a physical decoder like the SPD-151
The decoder is now associated with the VM Gateway
Assign decoder monitor outputs to each monitor wall pane
You can then create different layouts to be a linked to a device in each pane or…
Divide the pane further to show multiple cameras in each pane
Or assign a created layout to a pane
In the SSM Client you can now see the Monitor Wall and layouts that have been created. You can also add cameras to this layout
