Multicast Streaming using VLC media player

1. How to play multicast streaming via VLC media player

• 1-1. Network Protocol

  • Option path in VLC: Media >> Open Network Stream >> 'Network' tab
  • Input a network URL for multicast
  • Stream URI format of Hanwha camera is like below.

  rtsp://<camera ip>:<rtsp port>/multicast/profile<no>/media.smp
  rtsp://192.168.0.191:554/multicast/profile2/media.smp
  

  • After entering above stream URI, press 'Play' button.

• 1-2. RTSP authentication

  • You should meet a small window for RTSP authentication like below.
  • Username and Password are credential information of the camera.
