This article will explain how to set up Auto Tracking on a PTZ for the following scenario:
- No Group i.e. tour is being implemented
- A PTZ input triggers the PTZ to move to a preset
- Auto Tracking needs to turn on when the camera moves to a preset
- Auto Tracking needs to turn on when the camera returns to its home position
- The camera needs to return to a Home position after Auto Tracking has finished and/or when the PTZ is moved by manual intervention
To do this, firstly create a 'home' position; you cannot use the actual camera Home position as Auto Tracking does not turn on automatically for this position. Set the Follow-Up Action to Auto Tracking
Then create the other presets and set the Follow-Up Action to Auto Tracking -> Auto Run
Set the Auto Run configuration to go to the home position you created in a previous step. Ensure you put the correct preset number in.
Then create a rule to go to a preset when the i/o is activated. You can also create a rule to turn on Auto Tracking when this i/o is activated too
Ensure Auto Tracking in enabled. The 'T' in the upper right-hand corner signifies it is on. Also, ensure action after Auto Tracking is set to None.
