Merged Wave Servers can be unmerged or some servers can be detached from the merged servers, this articles discusses how to do this.
Before unmerging/detaching:
- Take a back up in Wave
- Take a note of the licences as you may ‘lose’ licences in the merge
Be aware:
All WAVE Sync users including the Cloud System owner will be deleted when a server is unlinked from the Cloud System. Only the local Owner and local users will remain.
On the server you want to unmerge, go to the server web page:
Log in and go to Servers
Click on the Server you want to detach
You will then get this warning
Click on Detach
Then the Server will appear offline:
For the detached server, you will have to set it up again, this only involves setting up the System name and admin password. You can do this via the Server web page or via a Client
If you log either into the Client or on the Server web page, on either server, you can see the system is still attached
Restart all Wave server services
Then log into the clients and delete the other server:
That should then ensure you have separate all systems or detached one server from the system
