This article discusses how to enable WAVE services on a SolidEgde Camera
To configure the SolidEDGE camera, you need to start the WAVE service the first time.
Note that if the SolidEDGE camera is factory defaulted, the WAVE service will be stopped. Please following the below steps after factory defaulting the camera.
- Open the camera's web interface and login.
- Click the setup gear icon.
- Select the Event menu, then the Storage menu
- The App Installation > Software > will show the WAVE service as stopped. Click the Start button. The status will show Running after a few moments.
- You can then connect to the WAVE server using the WAVE client. Note that it may take a minute before it is discovered in the client.
The SolidEDGE camera can have its firmware upgraded or factory defaulted, and retain the WAVE VMS and the recorded video storage.
There is no need to initialise the drive, which would remove the recorded video and the WAVE VMS installation.
The WAVE license is also retained during a factory default and a firmware upgrade.
Please note that when the camera is factory defaulted, the WAVE service will be stopped. Please start the service again in the Event > Storage menu.
