Auto Recovery Backup (ARB) recovers recordings from a cameras SD card, due to network disruption between camera and recorder.
To set this up, firstl configure the SD card recording settings on the camera web page:
Then ensure the Date and Time on the camera matches the NVR, you can set the NVR as a NTP:
and set the camera to take its time from the NVR:
On the NVR Settings go to Device ->Storage Device and select the ARB button
From here you can select what HDD the ARB footage will be transferred to, how much space is assigned to the ARB and what camera(s) you want to recover footage from.
By selecting space on the HDD for ARB, the existing data will be deleted:
Once confirmed, you will see the space allocated to the ARB footage:
When the NVR recovers from its failure and/or comes back online, you can search for ARB footage locally on the client (it will not be available to view on the web page) but going to Search and then selecting ARB Search:
All recovered footage will be listed here and can be playable by clicking on the entry in the list:
