Technical Support use software called Any Desk to remotely connect to PCs/servers to help diagnose technical issues.
You can download Any Desk here:
Click on the Download Now button:
This will start the anydesk.exe file download:
Browse to the location the browser stores files downloaded files in (usually the Download folder) and double click on the AnyDesk.exe file to begin the installation process. This will install a light version of Any Desk that allows a one time connection. If you need to connect again, you either need to do a full install of Any Desk or open the .exe file again.
Technical Support will need the Any Desk number to dial into your machine which it can be found here:
When Technical Support use this number to dial in, the connection request must be accepted:
This will now allow Technical Support to see your screen.
When you close Any Desk, it will ask you if you would like to install Any Desk:
If Technical Support has resolved the issue, then you do not have to install it.
If you do install it, then you can set up a password for unattended access which will allow Technical Support to dial in even if you are not at the location to accept the remote request.
